The CSA program
We have developed our own program, which has seven
levels ("A" through "G"), from beginners to advanced. The first day
at CSA you will be tested, to determine your level in Spanish. You will
also be required to fill out our "Channel Test". This gives us an idea
about how you learn best (if you are a visual, auditive or motor person).
This information, along with your specific needs, requirements, and
interests, will be given to your teacher, so that he/she has all the
information required to tailor your education.
After you finish each level, you will
be tested before stepping up to the next level. Your learning development
is closely monitored by our Teachers Coordinator, who recommends the
best teacher for you according to your specific needs. He also reviews
the teacher's daily and weekly plan. Each week you will have the opportunity
to evaluate your teacher and CSA confidentially.
CSA has developed many of the materials
we use in class, including a different workbook for each level. Also
available for you and your teacher is the CSA Library, with more than
200 titles.
Living with a Guatemalan Family
This is the best complement for your lessons. You will have the
opportunity to practice your Spanish in real situations and enjoy the
cultural exchange.
The families are carefully selected and we require from them to meet
specific CSA standards. All of them are located within 5 to 15 minutes
in a walking distance. Families offer accommodations, seven days a week,
and three meals a day (except on Sundays) at a very reasonable price.
See our price list.
The Family's Coordinator evaluates constantly the service
provided by the family. If a student does not adapt well to a family,
he can arrange the change to another family.
